The McCall Nordic Ski Team offers a skills-based, developmental progression program that will accommodate all levels of skier commitment and ability. The goal of the McCall Nordic Ski Team (MNST) is to provide all interested youths with a fun and rewarding experience in cross-country skiing. Open to all youth skiers interested in Alpine 4-way and beginning - through Junior Olympic competitive racing, team practices will be organized according to skill level and skier commitment.

Skiers are welcome to ski one day a week with the Team or more depending on interest and competitive desire.

Although the team will be separated into groups, boundaries will not be rigid. Kids will ski with others based on age, ability, and experience. Kids will move between groups if it is in their best interest. Our biggest challenge will be to meet the needs of our team members.

Coaches will divide their time between the various ability levels, so that all skiers will benefit from the varying expertise of all coaches. Individual goal-setting and initial interest questionnaires will allow coaches to give appropriate attention to skiers at individually-defined levels of challenge or fun.

The McCall Nordic Ski Team is excited about building interest in Nordic skiing among all types of skiers in the community. Our coaching staff is made up of local experts dedicating time to share the wonders of Nordic skiing.

Team fees will be payable by December 15 unless parents contact the MNST Board to request monthly payments or other financial accommodations. Each MNST family will be expected to assist in running ONE of our four local races, or other wise offer tangible support to team activities and operations.
